Geleneksel TACA Piknigi - Ertelendi / Picnic Postponed

Piknigimiz hava muhalefeti nedeniyle ertelenmistir. Yeni tarih ve mekan ilerleyen gunlerde duyurulacaktir.

The picnic is postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions. A new date and location will be announced in the following days.

Tum uye ve dostlarimiz geleneksel TACA piknigine davetlidir. Piknik alaninin haritasi icin buraya tiklayiniz. Piknik ucretsizdir. Alanda doner ve sucuk satisi olacaktir.

Come out to TACA Picnic and enjoy the great weather (hopefully), great food and friends. The map of the picnic area is available here. Picnic is free for all, and gyro and grills will be available for purchase.

Turkish Classes

As TACA we are proud to invite you and your friends who would like to learn or improve their Turkish to join our Turkish Classes at the TACA building.

 

A beginner class will begin and a Level 3 intermediate class will resume on Saturday, June 14th, 2008. You can sign up for the classes by sending an e-mail to This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it . The enrollment will be held on a first come first serve basis, and the classes will be limited to 15 students. The deadline to sign up is Friday, June 13th. If you have already sent an email expressing your interest, there is no need to follow up again. You will receive a confirmation email within this week.

Time: Saturdays between 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Course Length: 10 weeks

Class Size: Max. 15 students
Course Fee: TACA Members: $250, Non-Members: $350

Instructor: Mr. Ertugrul Oktem is a Turkish language instructor at Turkish - Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations at University of Chicago.

Tum sebze ve meyvelerin gercek renklerini bulmaya basladigi yaz aylariniza lezzet katmak amaciyla TACA Turk Yemekleri Serisini baslatiyoruz. Turkey's Foreign Policy - Interview with Ambassador Cengizer


 

 Amb. Cengizer reviewed some of the principles of Turkish Foreign Policy with respect reference to Iraq, Europe and Central Asia.  He also emphasized the deep historical roots underlying some of these policy positions as well as the nature of the geopolitical situation.  Currently a Fellow at the Harvard University Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, Amb. Cengizer discussed his work there, in particular, his research on a new book concerning the First World War and its causes and historical origins with implications not just for Turkey but European geopolitics more generally.
